Kernel panics on new hardware after adding drivers...

Just to get a grip on this issue: Are you able to install these systems
manually, like booting from a DVD or something? Don't know whether this is
possible for those blades. If it works, can you actually come up with a working
system? If that is the case, it should suffice to take the kernel from this
installation.
