The script you are looking for is install_packages. But I doubt that this helps
you in debugging the issue.

Not the first time, but this time it is really important: Yes, it needs to
access the Debian mirror that is either set in the default sources.list or some
mirror that you configured in there.
Without the logs this issue is really hard to debug, so I suggest you hack the
scripts or add a lot of hooks such that all the logs are sent to faimond.
