Installation hangs at TASKBEGIN instsoft

Dear list!

My automatic installation stops in the instsoft task. Here's what I see
on my install server:

debian32m:~# faimond
FAI monitoring daemon started on port 4711
box-n-01 check
box-n-01 TASKEND confdir 0
box-n-01 TASKBEGIN setup

box-n-01 TASKBEGIN updatebase
box-n-01 TASKEND updatebase 0
box-n-01 HOOK instsoft.FAIBASE
box-n-01 TASKBEGIN instsoft

Nothing happening here for > 1 hour.

The last file the install client read from the install server:

May 15 00:05:31 localhost nfsd[20230]: 217.xx.xxx.xxx <
/srv/fai/nfsroot/var/lib/dpkg/status
May 15 00:05:32 localhost nfsd[20230]: 217.xx.xxx.xxx <
/srv/fai/config/package_config/DEFAULT
May 15 00:05:32 localhost nfsd[20230]: 217.xx.xxx.xxx <
/srv/fai/config/package_config/FAIBASE

Please don't ask me to ssh to my install client, this still does not
work. But I would like to understand what script gets executed for this
task (I did not find anything with a corresponding name) so I could have
a look at it.

Wild guess: Might this be the first time the install client needs to
access a different server than the install server? (I'd guess the Debian
mirror?) I am suspecting some DNS resolver issues.

Regards,
Torsten
