USB keyboard with ubuntu fai

I've had the same experience installing Dell Optiplex GX280 desktops 
with FAI 2.10.1ubuntu1 (comes with Dapper).

I found that if you unplug the USB keyboard during boot, and plug 
it back in afterwards it is usable..  

Then I switched to FAI 3.1ubuntu1 (Edgy) and never had the problem 
again, so I did not look into it any further.
