don't use more than one piece of whitespace. the parser does not
support it reliably.

it's a very new feature of debconf.
anyway, i've been doing something similar for a while now: install
packages, then run debconf-set-selections from a script, and
afterwards call dpkg-reconfigure.

i find my approach cleaner, since i don't "abuse" the mirror task.
however, your's is slightly more performant. in the end, they
accomplish the same.
