Hello,
Got a bit of a problem...
Our FAI install was sort of accidentally updated, so figured would go with it, but now when trying to do an install it fails to detect the HDD.
Resulting in an error 'Could not find device /dev/hda'
I checked the mailing list found a similar problem, however the solution did not work for me :(.
The version FAI 2.5.1 was working but it got updated to 2.5.4, I have updated the config file to match what we had (as appropriate).
fai-kernels was updated from 1.5.3 to 1.6
When running make-fai-nfsroot I get these warnings?
....
depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in /lib/modules/2.4.24-fai/kernel/drivers/ide/ide-cd.o
depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in /lib/modules/2.4.24-fai/kernel/drivers/ide/ide-core.o
depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in /lib/modules/2.4.24-fai/kernel/drivers/ide/ide-disk.o
depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in /lib/modules/2.4.24-fai/kernel/drivers/ide/ide-floppy.o
depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in /lib/modules/2.4.24-fai/kernel/drivers/ide/ide-tape.o
....
But it does complete successfully 'make-fai-nfsroot finished properly.'
There are a lot more of the depmod warnings but those are I assume are the key problem.
The install server is running '2.4.18-bf2.4', currently the target distribution is 'woody'.
My only thought is to update the kernel on the install server, but I am not sure that it will fix the problem. Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks
Tony
