Sure, you need a grub inside the mbr of the disk that will be booted
by the BIOS.

For example we have a loop that iterates over all devices of a software raid
in GRUB_PC/10-setup.

Strange. Is there anybode else, how does not need the grub-mkdevicemap call?
Can we remove this?
