Quite possibly the fai.log file would have been useful as well; yet simply
reading software.log will show a number of errors:

- Whatever you use as mirror, it lacks a number of packages, included presumably
  core ones like "tcsh" or "gnome-core".
- You don't have the necessary apt keys installed. Hence install_packages
  refuses to install any packages. Make sure you have the necessary
  ubuntu-archive-keyring package installed if you are using Ubuntu sources.
