dhcpv6 is not very IPv6-ish, it feels quite ipv4-ish.

of course you can start with the mac address (which you know) and
calculate the respective ipv6 address from that and the ipv6
prefix of your network. 

that leaves you in need for a way to transmit information about
the whole network architecture. i asked on irc and no one who did
network booting in ipv6-only environments spoke up.

i think your best bet is to go dual stack on this. that means use
ipv4 where necessary (and private addresses with or without NAT
if necessary) and ipv6 whereever else. i dont think you can do
pxe booting (with tftp) and bootp/dhcp in ipv6 yet, but from
there onward should be possible.

cool that you think about this at all. i have started pondering
the problems involved, and we even have some ipv6 nets already
for testing. :-)
