dual ethernet, single FAI

Hi,
after quite some time of unplugging/replugging network cables to dual-
homed machines, I'd like to automate that (the distance to walk to
the machines has grown by a factor of 3 ...).
These machines, unlike most others, are connected to the FAI server by
eth1, and to the rest of the world by eth0. Of course, eth0 would see a DHCP
server as well, but none that offers FAI.
Looking at the FAI guide (is there no newer version than 2.5.2?), ip=...
seems to do the trick... and after reading Documentation/nfsroot.txt in
the kernel sources, I'd like to verify that I
- have to prioritize eth1 PXE boot over eth0
- have to replace the "ip=dhcp" kernel option by "ip=:::::eth1:dhcp"
- don't need to change anything in dhcpd.conf
and DHCP will limit itself to eth1, and fill in all the missing pieces?
Since I have a IPMI card installed, and assigned to COM2, would I also be
able to watch the installation using
console=tty0 console=ttyS1,19200n8
as another append'ed option?
I guess I have to try... but would like to know first whether it's time
for a stroll again :-)
Cheers,
Steffen
