fai and backports.org

Yes, unfortunately, I am aware of this. It would be nice if someone
would add an option to FAI so that we could pass the -t distro option
to FAI. Something like:

PACKAGE install-t sarge-backports XORG

Until recently I have just had fai run a script with $ROOTCMD apt-get
install -t sarge-backports x-window-system-core. I have found a some
what better method I looked through the dependencies and apt-pinned
the packages that x-window-system-core had to have from backport.org.
Though certainly the ideal would be if the -t option were implemented
in fai.
