Gentoo as install server

Hello all,

I'm planning to make use of my laptop running Gentoo Linux as my FAI
install server and the distribution to be installed to the fresh
computers through FAI will either be Ubuntu Dapper or Debian Sarge.
Would it be possible and practical?  As much as possible, I don't want
to format my system and install either Ubuntu Dapper or Debian Sarge
just to make it as a FAI install server.
