iirc this was fixed in 2.8.1 - i'm not sure (*) where to get 2.8.1 now, as 
2.8.2 was just uploaded. Both, 2.8.1 and 2.8.2 are mainly bugfix releases, 
targeted for sarge.

snapshot.debian.net
