Hello,

I would like to make an installation with fai with a customized 2.6
kernel. Is-it possible? How?

First I tried the demo with kernel 2.4. Great!

But no success with the kernel 2.6. Here what i've done:

- modification of /etc/fai/make-fai-nfsroot.conf:

KERNELPACKAGE=/usr/lib/fai/kernel/kernel-image-2.6.8-fai_1_i386.deb

=> fai-setup.... everything is ok

- modification of /usr/local/share/fai/class/DEFAULT.var

kernelversion=2.6.8 # for the packages  kernel-doc and kernel-source
addpackages="kernel-image-2.6.8-1-386"

- I begin the installation with boot disk (make-fai-bootfloppy -d f
"ip=a.b.c.d:a.b.c.e:a.b.c.f:255.255.255.0:name:
eth0:off FAI_FLAG=debug,createvt,sshd FAI_ACTION=install")

I've got this error:

INIT: version 2.86 booting
INIT: PANIC: segmentation violation at 0x804a33c (code)! sleeping for 30
seconds.

and the keyboad is lock... reset.

What this error means?

Thanks,

Manu.
