Install-Client with Kernel 2.4.24

Hi everybody,
thanks a lot for the many fast answers.
I solved my problem.
I compiled my own kernel without any modules in the ide-section. 
Everything is directly compiled in the kernel and it works.
I took the kernel-config from a booted knoppix ,which detects my 
harddisk correctly, and customized it for my requirements and now 
everything is fine :)
