Deploying using loadlin

Well, thanks to Thomas for his kind help. I have my FAI set up and running.

Now for the big deal. Here is the idea :

I have a bunch of HP blade servers with currently RHES 2.1 and Win2003... The
deployement server is a windows server using Altiris product. I can't put an
other PXE or DHCP/Bootp server on the network.

To install a linux server, the Altiris product uses 3 scripts. The first one
sets the hardware. The second install a win/dos system with a specific
autoexec.bat.

Tha last step is to boot this dos/win98 system and run loadlin from the
autoexec.bat. So, here is my idea :

Using FAI, I made a boot floppy. I mount it (loop) to copy the kernel
(vmlinuz-2.4.27-fai). Now, I put this kernel (renamed vmlinuz) in the Altiris
process, and try to launch it using loadlin from the autoexec.bat :

loadlin vmlinuz root=/dev/nfs nfsroot=10.0.0.226:/usr/lib/fai/nfsroot

unfortunately, it does not work as expected :

Uncompressing linux...

ran out of input data

 -- System halted

I checked the exact size of the kernel, it doesn't seem to be corrupted. Any
idea on how to do it?

François.
