I use custom sources.list, preferences, and apt.conf files to control which debian distribution ends up on a target.
The default behavior of prepate_apt to overwrite any apt config files was causing me grief.

Here's a patch to allow one to drop in custom apt config files without worrying about fai overwriting them.
