You misconfigured fai.conf. You must use FAI_DEBOOTSTRAP for woody !
Do not use base2_2.tgz for woody. There is no base*.tgz for woody.
> mknbi-linux: No space left on device
fai-setup installs the special kernels in /boot/fai for booting from
network card. About 2 MB for both versions.
So increase your /boot partition and make another try after fixing
fai.conf.
