Hi, as far as I can see, the 2.4.18 kernel config options only stand for the capability to use dhcp, bootp, ... If you actually want the kernel to use dhcp, you must supply the ip=... kernel boot parameter (or lilo append="...") as explained in Documentation/nfsroot.txt in the kernel sources. Cheers, Thomas
