supported network cards

Since PCMCIA support in only available as loadable modules (you need a
filesystem available to load modules), this can't be done without an
initial ramdisk, which FAI does not need and support. I heard PCMCIA
can be build into kernel 2.4. Then booting a notebook with PCMCIA and
using FAI will be no problem.

Maybe it's possible to creaete a CD-ROM, which contains the whole FAI
nfsroot. Then you could load the module and perform an installation.
