About sundial

Sundial Mailing List

This mailing list is for all who are interested in sundials and
gnomonics. It was founded in February 1996 and survived till this
day in this rapidly changing era for media. Many people from all
over the world joined this list and contributed many, many valuable
e-mails!

Sundial experts have subscribed and may assist you with your problems
or questions. If you have information for other dialists, please post
it to the list, e.g. if there is a new book about sundials. As long
as a discussion might be interesting to other gnomonists please keep
it up public i.e. make a copy to sundial(at)uni-koeln.de.

To subscribe to or unsubscribe from the sundial mailing list, just
visit the web page https://lists.uni-koeln.de/mailman/listinfo/sundial
and follow the instructions at the bottom.

To post a mail to all subscribers of the list, please send it to:
sundial(at)uni-koeln.de

The mails sent to the list should not be larger than 1 MB in total
(please remember that binary data encoded into ASCII takes more place).
Please cite not the whole of a message but just the passage you refer to.

For posting to the sundial mailing list please use the same address as
the one with which you've subscribed. If this is not possible, please
unsubscribe from the old one and resubscribe with your new one. If you
post from an address which is not explicitly subscribed, the e-mail
will be bounced back. This inconvenience is necessary to prevent that
the sundial mailing list is flooded by unwanted commercials etc.

The list owner has compiled a list of links to sundial related WWW pages.
You can access this list at: http://www.infraroth.de/slinks.html

Please unsubscribe yourself from the list if your e-mail address
expires! Each e-mail sent to a non-existing address produces a message
addressed to the system. If your account is over quota it also provokes a
message. If your account is over quota for a longer period, it may happen
that I manually unsubscribe your address from the list because it causes
too many error messages.

A list archive is available at this site: https://lists.uni-koeln.de/mailman/private/sundial/
The messages from the time the list was managed by Majordomo are partly available at:

Thank you for your contributions to the sundial mailing list!

Regards -

- Daniel Roth, sundial-owner(at)uni-koeln.de
