fai-server on xenial

I am trying to install an fai-server on xenial. When I run fai-setup I am
getting the error 'update-rc.d: warning: start and stop actions are no
longer supported; falling back to defaults', then grub-probe failures, then
ending with 'ERROR when calling fai-make-nfsroot'. Am I missing something?
Since xenial is systemd the update-rc.d seems wrong.
