Fai now generates a nice /etc/network/interfaces file with the new
interface nameing scheme. No more eth0. However, Ubuntu 17.10 no longer
uses /etc/network/interfaces.
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/MigratingToNetplan

"Ubuntu 17.10 introduces a new default configuration method for network
devices, using netplan instead of ifupdown. Configuration is now written
as YAML files to /etc/netplan instead of in /etc/network/interfaces."

That document implies you can install ifupdown to get the old behaviour.
I think first I am going to try to writea script to generate these YAML
files and put it in my FAI config.
