Use custom aptitude resolver for a package

Due to our unusual build workflow, a certain package requires a custom
resolver in Aptitude: -o
Aptitude::ProblemResolver::SolutionCost='removals, canceled-actions'.
We can invoke aptitude separately with these options in the configure
phase, but the main problem is getting the dependencies into the
fai-mirror.
Is there any way to make this work? We don't care if it is hacky
because this workflow is temporary anyway.
