IMO a hook is perfect for this. I have no idea how to safely decide
when to use wipefs -af without causing major trouble in some
situations. We may introduce a new flag WIPEALL which triggers this
action. But IMO this is not safe. So currently your proposed hook
should be fine for everybody who needs it.
