Aw: Issues with booting from CD

Hello there,
I took a deeper look at the dhcp leases and I'm still confused:

/var/lib/dhcp/dhclient.leases exists and is empty
/var/lib/dhcp/dhclient.eth0.leases contains the dhcp information (with correct domain-name)
So DHCP works correctly.

Why does task confdir extract the domain-name to $DOMAIN when config dir lives on the fai-server and ignores it when it lives on CD/USB-stick?
