I am not so sure. I sometimes run tests on specific machines, modifying
the config space, and there is a chance that a cron job executes a
softupdate at the same time. If I would be in the middle of a commit, I
would be disappointed if the cron job would silently overrun my work. I
would rather see the cron job fail in this situation.
I would make running "svn clean" an option for those who really need it,
and leave it off by default.
