Never seen that. Do you use the plain Debian kernel?

My pxelinux.cffg for wheezy is like this:

default fai-generated

label fai-generated
kernel vmlinuz-3.2.0-3-amd64
append initrd=initrd.img-3.2.0-3-amd64 rw aufs ip=dhcp root=1.2.3.4:/srv/fai/nfsroot rd.shell FAI_FLAGS=verbose,sshd,createvt FAI_CONFIG_SRC=nfs://1.2.3.4/srv/fai/config FAI_ACTION=install rd.md=0 rd.dm=0 rd.lvm=0 rd.luks=0

So, I'm not using nfsroot but root=. Do not forget the parameter aufs.
