I've now tested this over here with the particular config that you sent and
indeed I get (to the byte) the same results. I must add, however, that I
wouldn't dare to guarantee that this holds also in case of multiple partitions.

PS.: Finally, we also have our experimental builds back up and running, there
should be some 4.0~beta2+experimental91 available soonish, we just need to sort
out updates of the archive.
