defining variables

Do ls /usr/share/keymaps/i386/azerty/ on some working system and choose the one
that suits you best (no idea which one it is), but without the .kmap.gz suffix.

Probably you should provide a suitable grub.cfg file, but that's a pretty wild
guess. GRUB 2 users out there, can you help?
