/scripts/live not found

Hello,

I'm trying to setup a fai-install server under Ubuntu lucid 10.04.01
LTS. The following error occured. 
When I want to boot the to b installed machine I get the following
error.

init: line 238 can't open /scripts/live 

and after that the bootkernel panics.

The problem is the error seems to occur in the script init-premount. But
I can't find this script, too. And on a friends machine, on which
everything works fine, I can't find these scripts, either. 

Does anybody know a solution or where I might to start to look?
