The example config scripts of FAI to install grub make use of a disk_var.sh file
as generated by setup-storage. As you don't use setup-storage, you will have to
create this file yourself. If you use grub2, all you will need is the
BOOT_DEVICE variable, which must hold the device name where grub is to be
installed.
