nevermind, I was working on it because I need or at least want it.

Well, lets see what we have. My installation failed because of
a mistake I've made. However as far as FAI is concerned everything
was done right. Its just important to know that one has to
add busybox to the package_config of a system that gets installed this
way. Not sure if this is different with Squeeze or other systems
installed with FAI but with Lenny it won't boot otherwise.

Just as a sidenote: I saw that you now also documented it.
You might want to note the new feature in the CAVEATS point, though,
because it obviously does not have this problem.
