anyone using reprepo?

I have a custom distro that i want to use lenny as a base, I am trying
to run a "pull" from lenny...but nothing seems to happen...it says
that it is pulling
Calculating packages to pull...
looking what to get from 'lenny|contrib|i386'
  pulling into '....
...
Installing (and possibly deleting) packages...
Exporting indices...

but I don't see that it really did anything...(e.g. did not update
Packages files)...if anyone has any advice I would appreciate it
