I think there's a problem to use this approach (building a new kernel)
with FAI 3.2.4. We now need unionfs, which is broken in some version
of the kernel, so the kernel would work on the hardware. 

This approach works for you, because you are using FAI 3.1.8 which
does not need unionfs.
