Hi Michael,
If I chroot into the /tmp/target dir on spring and install the kernel
manually I see:
Unpacking kernel-image-2.6.16.20-pure-amd64 (from
.../kernel-image-2.6.16.20-pure-amd6
4_2_amd64.deb) ...
I don't know of an other way to see I've I'm hitting the right arch.
