Apart from that this is really ugly, because not at all automatic,
this is also easily possible: you can write a hook that, for example,
stops until you hit a key, which you'd only hit after having finished
your partitioning. You'd need also to take care of the task
mountdisks, so your manual partiotioned disk gets mounted nicely for
installation.

What do you need that for?
