kernel install problems.

I am failing to install a kernel and/or grub in my AMD64 FAI setup.
I can't seem to remember how I solved this for i386 (if I did, not sure).

Has anyone else had similar problems installing a kernel (2.6.11 in my case)?

My configuration:

/boot is ext2, the other filesystems are xfs.

>From the /tmp/fai logs, my reference to kernel-image packages are removed,
claiming they are "unknown".
