LVM not working

Hi all,

I have correctly setup FAI to install my servers. Now I want to 
configure RAID and LVM on the servers installed by FAI.
Thanks to this example http://www.linuxma.com/fai_raid post in this list 
by Eric Malkowski, I have properly configured FAI to create RAID devices.

However I failed to install servers with LVM, when I try to create my 
PV, I get following error:
# pvcreate /dev/md0
 > Locking type 1 initialisation failed.

It seems that LVM need to have write access to /var/lock/lvm to work.
Do you have any idea of what I can do to fix this problem?
If anyone has been able to setup properly FAI with LVM, if he can 
provide me with some clue....
