Sending DHCP requests .... timed out

If you can't see the DHCP request from the kernel itself (after the
kernel has been loaded and started) with tcpdump, I think the kernel
changes the order of your network cards. So maybe the kernel sends its
DHCP request on the other NIC that the kernel itself was bootet from.
