could use some troubleshooting tips

Greetings,

I'm new to clustering and mass-production of systems, but not new to
linux. FAI looks like just the ticket for my initial exploration of
this field, but I'm having a bit of trouble getting the initial setup to
work. I think I'm stuck on getting NFS to cooperate, but could use a
friendly hand to work through it. This is the first time I've tried to
set up a machine to host NFS.

Background info:
distro: Debian sarge
kernel: 2.4.26
FAI version: 2.5.4, 26 feb 2004

Master node has 2 NICs, one for external network, one for internal (to
the child nodes) only, I am not routing the internal network to the
outside world.

I already have a local Debian mirror, to which I have an NFS mount point
set from the master node. It is this local mount point on the master
node that I want FAI to use as the apt source.

Currently, I am unable to successfully run fai-setup. The script gets
about halfway through (completes the "Creating base.tgz" stage), and
then is unable to mount the internal NFS mount point. Here's the error
text:

mount: <internal name>:<internal mount point> failed, reason \
	given by server: Permission denied
Can't mount <internal name>:<internal mount point> to \
	/usr/lib/fai/nfsroot//mnt2.
No diversion `diversion of /sbin/discover by fai', none removed
umount: /usr/lib/fai/nfsroot//mnt2: not mounted

and then it exits. So it's pretty plain to me that my NFS is still not
configured properly. I need someone to help me set up NFS (and possibly
fai.conf) so that it uses the internal NIC instead of the external NIC.

I've read the FAI docs and NFS docs, and a couple of other clustering
docs, but have not yet found how to get this configured properly. Any
information would be welcome. If there is another forum that would be
more appropriate for this question, please let me know.

Thank you.
Seth
