could use some troubleshooting tips

Michael,

Thanks for the offer.  Here is /etc/exports:

# /etc/exports: the access control list for filesystems which may be
exported
#               to NFS clients.  See exports(5).
/mnt/mirror/debian      192.168.1.0/255.255.255.0(ro,sync)

This is the IP subnet for the internal network (eth1, whose IP address
is 192.168.1.1).  I have tried to add the IP of the external NIC (eth0)
to /etc/exports, but when I restart nfs, I get an "Invalid argument"
error returned.

I do not have an /etc/netgroup file.  I didn't think I needed it,
because I didn't need one to be able to mount my mirror from the master
node.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.
