apt-get install questions

Gday,

FAI is working great, except for one major problem. When apt-getting
stuff during the install process, packages that require user's answering certain
questions (such as sendmail) are half installed. This requires the user
to apt-get install sendmail, to reconfigure the package, which then goes
and installs all the dependencies.

Is there anyway around this, or have i configured FAI wrong?
