The latest version of exim seems to be checking if the mail spool is empty,
or is now leaving a welcome message or something:

Removing exim ...
dpkg - warning: while removing exim, directory `/etc/ppp/ip-up.d' not empty so not removed.

Purging configuration files for exim ...
There are mails in the exim spool directory which have not yet
been delivered. You can keep them in case you decide to re-install
exim at a later date, or you can choose to remove them.
Should they be removed (Y/n)?

which is halting installation. task_instsoft pipes yes '' to
install_packages - is this passed right through to apt-get or should
the yes instead take place in %command? Is this fixed in more recent
vesions of fai?
