apt-get segfaults!!

No it's dpkg which segfaults. It's a known problem also for potato (I
send a bug report to wichert). Try to change the list of packages to install.
I can produce this error if I add the class DEBIAN_DEVEL and it
dissapears without those software packages. But it's not a problem of
a certain package. The list of packages produces the error.

Maybe we should try 
echo $packlist | xargs chroot ... apt-get install ???
