Hello!

I try to install trac on a fai system, which Recommends
apache2 | httpd.

No I try to get rid of the apache, but without success:

- using "-apache2" just resulted in "package not found" error
- using PACKAGES remove apache2 fails with this message:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
install_packages: executing chroot /target apt-get clean
install_packages: executing chroot /target apt-get -y -o Dpkg::Options::="--force-confdef" -o Dpkg::Options::="--force-confold" --purge remove apache2
Reading package lists...
Building dependency tree...
Reading state information...
The following packages will be REMOVED:
  apache2*
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 1 to remove and 0 not upgraded.
After this operation, 102kB disk space will be freed.
(Reading database ... 86749 files and directories currently installed.)
Removing apache2 ...
install_packages: executing chroot /target dpkg --configure --pending
install_packages: executing chroot /target dpkg -C
install_packages: executing chroot /target apt-get clean
1 errors during executing of commands
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Questions:

 - Can't I tell fai or dpkg to *NOT* install a recommended package for trac?
I could even split it into a new PACKAGES install line.
 - Why does removing fail?

Sincerly,

Nico
