Dear CMDI Maker users,

we have some news to share with you:

1) Thanks to Alexandre Arkhipov (Moscow State University), CMDI Maker is
now available in Russian/Русский язык.

2) Users that want to do a translation of CMDI Maker in their language,
can do that now very easily within the app itelf. As of v2.8, there is a
new internationalization module that allows to create CMDI Maker
LanguagePacks by simply filling out a form with terms. You can find it
in the settings.

More information:
CMDI Maker was originally created to support linguists all over the
world to create XML metadata. This is why we have implemented this new
internationalization module, where you can create, edit or just have a
look at LanguagePacks (LPs) for the app within the app itself.
Underneath each LanguagePack form, there is a button that says "Save as
JSON".
You can import LanguagePacks by including the resulting JSON files in
the CMDI Maker source code or in the source code of the respective CMDI
Maker environment.
You can also send requests for including your LanguagePacks to

If you are not sure about translating tech terms, maybe Microsoft
Terminology Search is of help! It is a database that shows translations
of all kinds of Microsoft product terms. Some of them could apply to
CMDI Maker as well. You will find it here:
http://www.microsoft.com/Language/en-US/Search.aspx?sString=Abort&langID=es-es

Please note that English is the default and reference language.
Translations should always take this language as source.

Best regards,
Sebastian Zimmer
