Liebe Kolleginnen und Kollegen,

am 4. und 5. Juli 2023 findet das 2. Deutsche Open Science Festival in Köln statt und Sie sind herzlich dazu eingeladen! „Meet, Share, Inspire, Care!“ - unter diesem Motto gibt es eine bunte Mischung von aktuellen Themen und Formaten rund um Open Science:

- Keynotes und Paneldiskussionen zu offenen Wissenschaftspraktiken mit nationalen und internationalen Expert:innen.
- Workshops, die Inhalte aus der Praxis vermitteln.
- Einen offenen Marktplatz mit Informationen zu lokalen und internationalen Initiativen und Diensten.
- Für Studierende, (Nachwuchs-) Wissenschaftler:innen und alle, die mehr über Open Science wissen wollen.

Organisiert von ZB MED – Informationszentrum Lebenswissenschaften, Universitäts- und Stadtbibliothek Köln, Universität zu Köln, Institut für Biomedizinische Informatik und dem CECAD.

Das Festival findet jeweils ganztägig am 4. und 5. Juli 2023 bei ZB MED und im CECAD statt. Am Vorabend, dem 3. Juli 2023, feiern wir außerdem 50 Jahre ZB MED – die Zukunft der Wissenschaft ist Open Science!

Dear colleagues,

on 4 and 5 July 2023, the 2nd German Open Science Festival will take place in Cologne and you are cordially invited! "Meet, Share, Inspire, Care!" - under this motto there will be a colourful mix of current topics and formats around Open Science:

- Keynotes and panel discussions on open science practices with national and international experts.
- Workshops that convey practical content.
- An open marketplace with information on local and international initiatives and services.
- For students, (young) scientists and everyone who wants to know more about Open Science.

Organised by ZB MED - Information Centre Life Sciences, University and City Library Cologne, University of Cologne, Institute for Biomedical Informatics and CECAD.

The festival will take place all day on 4 and 5 July 2023 at ZB MED and CECAD. On the evening before, 3 July 2023, we will also celebrate 50 years of ZB MED - the future of science is Open Science! 

Registration is open via the festival website www.opensciencefestival.de.
