What you said made me look around a little.  I see dbus is included in STANDARD however this is not called.  I added STANDARD to the Classes line of the Simple profile within the example.profile and dbus gets installed : ).</div>

I'm still unsure how to have the hostname set correctly, it keeps getting installed as localhost.</div>

This is probably due to my lack of understanding around what I need to do within my environment where the dhcp/dns is external.</div>

nslookup against the IP gives provides the fqdn so I assumed that would provide the magic needed.<br>

I have tried creating an entry in /etc/hosts on the fai server for my test client but that doesn't help to set the machines name when built.</div>
