first of all: THANK YOU ALL! This project saves me a lot of work.<br>
<br>
I'm a noob user regarding FAI. Because of this I've started with a FAI.me image. Unfortunately the installation of this image fails.<br>
<br>
Interpreting the messages on the screen it seems that the physical disk is not found (This system does not have a physical disk 1), the partitioning fails with Code 710 and at least the installation is aborted.<br>
<br>
The command for building this image was:<br>

cl=DEBIAN,DHCPC,DEMO,FAIBASE,BOOKWORM,ONE,SSH_SERVER,STANDARD,NONFREE,FAIME,GRUB_PC,GRUB_EFI,AMD64<br>
fai-mirror -C /etc/fai-bookworm -m1 -c$cl /tmp/mirror<br>
fai-cd -C /etc/fai-bookworm -g grub.cfg.install-only -m/tmp/mirror faime-XXXXXXXX.iso<br>

Searching the mailing list for "Code 710" shows similar problems ten years ago. But compared to 2014 I don't use LVM, no special file systems or things like that. Also searching for "physical disk" the last months don't show any result.<br>

The goal is to have a simple pre-configured image with<br>
- Username<br>
- User password<br>
- Root password<br>
- One partition<br>
- German keyboard layout<br>
- Debian 12 bookworm (stable)<br>
- Plain text console, no X11<br>
- Openssh server<br>
- Standard system tools<br>
- Non-free Linux firmware<br>
<br>
Same settings but selected "Gnome desktop" instead of "Plain text console, no X11" works like a charm.<br>
<br>
I wonder why the "Gnome desktop" installation works successful and the "Plain text console, no X11" aborts. I've tried several times the creation of both images but the result does not change.<br>
<br>
Any hint is welcome.<br>
